Monika mentions that the protagonist could have saved Sayori, and I believe this is a reference to the 'good' ending. Hell, he forgot about Sayori's conversation about depression the very next day and, well, 'left her hanging'. ![]() ![]() Generally speaking, to my knowledge, they're not equipped to deal with depression or suicide. Think about it: Your standard protagonist is some bumbling idiot trying to impress a single girl out of a selection, and they usually go to any means to accomplish this.
